Shocking information has recently come out that many Indian youths who went to Russia on tourist visas have been recruited into the Russian army and forced to fight in the war.
Two more Indians who served in the Russian army were killed in the Ukraine war.
The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for more than 2 years. Tens of thousands of soldiers on both sides have been killed in this war.
In this context, a few months ago shocking information was revealed that many Indian youths who went to Russia on tourist visas were recruited into the Russian army and forced to fight in the war.
There have been reports of people being recruited into the army claiming to be security assistants and being forced to undergo combat training and sent to the front line against their will.
The incident in which 2 Indians stationed at the front of the war were killed one after the other in the attack of Ukraine caused severe shocks.
Following this, the central government started efforts to rescue the Indians trapped in the war zone in Russia. However, so far only 10 Indians have returned home safely.
It seems that around 200 Indians are still trapped there. The central government is continuing to take steps to rescue them safely.
In this situation, the death of 2 more Indians who were employed in the Russian army has caused a shock. This information was given by the Union Ministry of External Affairs.
In a statement issued by the ministry, “2 Indians who were employed as auxiliaries in the Russian army have died in the Russia-Ukraine war. We express our deepest condolences to their families. The Russian Ministry of Defense has urged the authorities to bring the bodies of the deceased to India as soon as possible. Also, all Indians in the Russian army should be released as soon as possible.” It is said that it has been emphasized to Russia.
In this situation, one of the 2 Indians who died in the Russia-Ukraine war has been identified as Tejpal Singh from Punjab.
It seems that Tejpal Singh, who hails from Amritsar district of Punjab, went to Thailand in December last year in search of work. Then he went to Russia last January on a tourist visa.
On learning that there were many young men from Punjab and Ariyana who were already serving in the Russian army, Tejpal Singh also joined the Russian army.
There he has been given combat training for more than 2 weeks. During training, Tejpal Singh used to talk to his wife and family on his cell phone every day and sent photos of himself training.
But after 2 weeks he did not contact the family. It was in this context that the family was informed by his friend that he had died in the war.
Tejpal Singh’s wife Parminder Kaur has requested the Indian and Russian governments to help bring her husband’s body to India for cremation.
