Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the 10th International Yoga Day in Srinagar on June 21. The theme of this year’s International Yoga Day is Yoga for Self and Society.
Union AYUSH Minister Pratap Rao Jadhav launched a common yoga protocol book in Braille script to facilitate blind people to learn and practice yoga at an event in New Delhi. This book will help children learn and practice yoga with interest and fun.

This year’s theme highlights the dual role of yoga in fostering individual and social well-being. He said yoga fosters physical, mental and spiritual development while promoting social harmony. The Minister said that the enthusiastic participation of lakhs of people in recent years reflects the deep impact of yoga in the communities.

As a special initiative, this year the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has organized a unique initiative ‘Yoga for Space’ to mark the International Day of Yoga.
All scientists and officers of ISRO will do yoga together as per common yoga ethical guidelines.
The team of Gaganyan Project will also join the global campaign of International Yoga Day by practicing yoga at this event.
To promote technology and start-ups in the field of yoga, Ministry of AYUSH has organized YogaTech Challenge on MyGov portal and MyBharat portal, he said.
