Police is probing the incident of child theft at Dharmapuri Government Medical College Hospital.
Arulmani (35) is a resident of Nathanur near Pennagaram in Dharmapuri district. His wife Malini (19). The pregnant Malini was admitted to Dharmapuri Government Medical College Hospital for delivery on June 18. She gave birth to a child on the 19th.
In this condition, Malini, who was admitted to the hospital for ward series treatment with her child, went to the toilet on Sunday morning and returned to the ward. At that time the child was not found near his bed. The child was not found on search in the hospital ward.
Her husband Arulamani has lodged a complaint with Dharmapuri city police station.
The police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the mysterious person who stole the child. They are also examining the footage of the CCTV cameras installed in the maternity ward unit building. It was learned that the child was being taken by an unidentified woman.
Following this, a team led by Dharmapuri Deputy Superintendent of Police Annathurai has been deployed and the police are still searching for the person who kidnapped the child.
Superintendent of Police of Dharmapuri district S. Kalaichelvan visited the hospital and inspected it.
