The party leader Krishnasamy said that the government should accept and run the Mancholai tea plantations and if the Mancholai workers are expelled, a protest will be held on behalf of the New Tamil Nadu Party.
At the New Tamil Nadu party’s headquarters in Nungambakkam, Chennai, party president Krishnasamy met the media.
Speaking then, he said, when the working period of Mancholai tea plantation workers will end in 2028, what is the need to forcibly evict them now? He questioned.
Krishnasamy further alleged that the government’s silence on the issue of tea estates is causing suspicion and that Mancholai tea estates are being taken away for the benefit of private capitalists.
