BJP’s ally Apna Dal has questioned that reserved category people are being denied opportunities in government jobs in Uttar Pradesh. Apna Dal, a long-time member of the BJP alliance, has raised questions against the BJP for the first time and has gained prominence in political circles.
BJP is ruling Uttar Pradesh. Yogi Adityanath is serving as the Chief Minister. Apna Dal (S) is one of the parties in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance. It is chaired by Anupriya Patel.
Apna Dal has been part of the National Democratic Alliance since 2014. Similarly, Apna Dal has been a part of the BJP alliance since 2017 in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP alliance has won the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections and formed the government. Currently Anupriya Patel is also the Union Minister.
Anupriya Patel, who is a major party in the BJP alliance, has now expressed her displeasure over the reservation issue. In this regard, in a letter written by Anupriya Patel to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, it has been stated that:- Other Backward, Scheduled Castes and ST categories are disqualified during the interview in government jobs.
These posts are then converted into unreserved posts. Other Backward Sections, SC/ST Sections are rejected even if they pass the interview on the basis of merit by scoring eligible marks. Even after completion of the recruitment process, all these posts should be filled only by the reservation department,” he stressed.
This is the first time that Anupriya Patel has spoken out against the BJP. Apna Dal, a longtime BJP ally, has written a letter to Yogi Adityanath that has gained prominence in political circles. Apna Dal contested 17 seats in the 2022 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh in alliance with the BJP. In this, it won in 12 seats.
