Narendra Modi has been sworn in as the Prime Minister for the 3rd time after the results of the Lok Sabha elections have been announced. BJP has formed the government at the center with the help of alliance party MPs even though it did not get a single majority this time.
In this case, the newly elected MPs took oath in the Lok Sabha. After that the Speaker election was held and Ombirla won. After that on 27th, President Thirelapathi Murmu addressed the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs.
Subsequently, a debate took place in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on the resolution of thanks for the President’s speech. Subsequently, Prime Minister Modi gave a reply in the Lok Sabha yesterday. The Lok Sabha was then adjourned without specifying a date. Following this, Prime Minister Modi is giving a reply in the Rajya Sabha today. Then he said:
Thanks to my friends in the Congress party. The Congress party is right in saying that 1/3rd is the government. We have already ruled for 10 years. We will form a government for another 20 years. I firmly believe this.
It has been 75 years since the constitution was made. I belong to a normal family. Not a single member of my family became a panchayat president. But today I am serving the country in various important positions. The reason for this is the Constitution given by Babasaheb Ambedkar.
All we have done for the last 10 years is just an appetizing activity. The main course is yet to come. Our struggle for the next 5 years will be to eradicate poverty. We will take government administration to the next level in the next 5 years,” he said.
Meanwhile, the opposition MPs continued to act. They chanted that Leader of Opposition Mallikarjuna Kharge should be allowed to speak. But Prime Minister Modi ignored it and continued to speak. Opposition MPs walked out of the Rajya Sabha in protest against Prime Minister Modi’s speech.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi looked at the MPs who walked out and said, “Those who spread lies have no power to listen to the truth. Those who do not want to hear the truth and walk out are disrespecting the Rajya Sabha,” he said. But the opposition MPs continued to walk out without listening to PM Modi. After that PM Modi spoke.
