Tamil Nadu BJP State President Annamalai has criticized the Congress for not being close enough to talk about the Constitution.
To commemorate the Emergency Day, a meeting was held on behalf of the BJP at Kamalalayam in Thiagaraya Nagar, Chennai.
State President Annamalai participated in the party and spoke about the miseries faced by the people during the Emergency.
Speaking at that time, Annamalai said that we should remember how our country was during the Emergency and that the Congress is not ready to talk about the Constitution.
Annamalai said that it was Indira Gandhi who decided to leave the country due to the fear of defeat in the elections after the Emergency, and perhaps the country would have progressed if the Gandhi family had left the country.
Also, BJP State President Annamalai emphasized that the people did not accept the Congress rule due to the amendments made in the Constitution and we should not leave the mature leaders like Modi forever.
