With BJP’s defeat in Faizabad in the Lok Sabha elections, the number of people going to the Ayodhya Ram temple has decreased drastically in the last one week.
In 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP has suffered a personal defeat. Even though the NDA coalition government is in place, the BJP has lost its majority individually. There are 543 constituencies in the country. If you win in 272 constituencies, you can take power.
In this situation, the NDA alliance has won almost 292 constituencies in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. BJP alone has won 240 seats. Congress party has won 97 seats. India Alliance has won 229 seats. As a result, Modi is forced to form a government with the help of Chandrababu Naidu, Nitish Kumar and Shinde Shiv Sena, who hold 40 seats.
Now, with the help of alliances, the BJP has formed the cabinet and formed the government.
Defeat in Ayodhya: BJP has been defeated mainly in the Faizabad constituency in Uttar Pradesh where the Ayodhya temple was built.
Uttar Pradesh has a total of 80 constituencies. The BJP alliance won 71 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Bahujan Samaj did not contest the 2019 elections. Samajwadi won 5 seats. Congress won only 2 seats.
2024 Lok Sabha Elections: The 2024 Indian general elections in Uttar Pradesh were held in all seven phases from April 19 to June 1 to elect 80 members. There, parties like BJP, Apna Dal, Lok Dal formed an alliance.
Opposite Congress, Samajwadi Party and Trinamool Congress formed an alliance. Bahujan Samaj contested alone.
Defeated: A major political turnaround has taken place in Uttar Pradesh. There, India Alliance ahead of BJP has won more seats. Congress India Alliance has won 43 seats. BJP alliance has gone to 33 seats. BJP has suffered worst defeat there.
Defeat: India is overwhelmingly polled here. In this situation, the BJP has lost in the Faizabad constituency where the Ayodhya Temple was built in Uttar Pradesh.
Samajwadi candidate Avadesh Prasad won by securing 554289 votes. Lallu Singh got 499722 votes on behalf of BJP. BJP has lost by a margin of 54567 votes.
No attendance: With the BJP’s defeat in Faizabad in the Lok Sabha elections, the number of people visiting the Ayodhya Ram temple has decreased drastically in the last one week.
Air services have already been severely curtailed due to the lack of crowds here. The attendance of BJP here has also decreased for the last one week. Due to this, the number of devotees is said to have fallen by more than 30 percent.
Modi’s change: While the BJP was defeated in Ayodhya, on the day of the Lok Sabha election results, Modi, who met the party officials and volunteers at the BJP office, got attention when he said Jai Shriram instead of Jai Jagannath.
Modi, who came to the BJP office earlier, spoke in front of the volunteers. Then his face looked sad. The face was found hanging. He doesn’t have the ever-present weed. His face is withered as there is tension whether the BJP will form the government.
Addressing the volunteers, Modi for the first time said Jai Sriram, Jai Jagannath. He used to say Jai Sriram, Jai Siya Ram. He has not used Jai Sriram for the first time. In Odisha, where Puri Jagannath is located, Modi has said Jai Jagannath as a sign of victory and as a way of worshiping Lord Shiva.
