There are reports that the cut off for TNPSC Group 4 candidates may be lowered this time.
A question arises as to what will be the cut off marks this time. The question has arisen whether there will be changes in this. According to TNPSC, 15.8 lakh candidates appeared for the Class 10th qualifying Group 4 examination held at 7,247 examination centers across Tamil Nadu.
Vacancies in various government departments are filled through it every year. Employees will be selected at various levels like Group 1, Group 2, 2A, Group 4. This is why the TNPSC exam was held yesterday. The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission conducted the TNPSC Group 4 exam on 9th June last. This exam was conducted to fill 6624 Group 4 vacancies in various departments in Tamil Nadu.

As many as 20 lakh people appeared for this exam for 6,244 vacant posts in the last few days. In this year’s Group 4 examination, there were many posts including Village Administrative Officer- 108, Junior Assistant- 2,604, Typist- 1,705, Shorthand Typist- 445, Personal Assistant, Clerk- 3
Score details; There is no interview for Group 4 posts..that means the posts will be allotted after document verification to those who get appropriate cut off marks in this written test. TNPSC has not announced the cut off marks yet. Meanwhile let’s see what will be the cut off mark this year.
This exam was conducted to fill 6,244 vacancies. There will be 200 questions in total including 100 questions from Tamil area, 100 questions from General Knowledge and Intelligence areas. A total of 300 marks will be awarded at the rate of one and a half marks per question.
Tough Questions: This time there were 2 more questions in Maths than usual.
Also general knowledge questions were more difficult. 10 questions were of different standard. Although Group 4 exam was similar to Group 2 some questions were asked similar to Group 1. There are even chances of lowering the cut off as this exam is tougher than before.
Will the cut off be lower?: It is expected that the cut off marks for male candidates in general category will be 146-151.
Meanwhile, the cut off mark for female candidates in general category is expected to be 152 – 155.
Similarly for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Males 143-147, Females 146-150, Backward Classes Muslim (BCM) Males 142-145 and Females 139-146 is said to be the cut off mark.
This is how marks are usually awarded. But this time it is expected that 2 marks may be awarded less than last time.
