The first Test match between South Africa and West Indies ended in a draw.
The South African cricket team, which is touring the West Indies, will play a 2-match Test series and a 3-match T20I series against the country’s team. The first Test series was held between these two teams.
As the first Test ended in a draw, the 2nd Test cricket match between these two teams started on the 15th in Guyana. In the first innings, South Africa scored 160 runs and West Indies scored 144 runs respectively. South Africa started the 2nd innings with a lead of 16 runs and scored 223 runs for 5 wickets at the end of the 2nd day.
Yesterday was the 3rd day of the match. The South African team continued to play and were all out for 246 runs in 80.4 overs. Kyle Verne and Markram scored fifties for the team. West Indies fast bowler Jayden Seals took 6 wickets.
Following this, the West Indies team, who set out to win by scoring 263 runs, could not cope with the South African bowling and were all out after scoring only 222 runs in 66.2 overs. Kudakesh Moti scored the maximum 45 runs for the team, while Rabada and Keshav Maharaj took 3 wickets each and Dan Peat and Vian Mulder took 2 wickets each in the South African side who bowled well.
With this win, South Africa won the 2-match Test series 1-0. Vian Mulder bagged the man of the match award and Keshav Maharaj bagged the man of the series award.
