An appreciation ceremony was held in Mumbai yesterday for the Indian players who won the T20 World Cup.
ICC The players were taken in an open bus procession in Mumbai as part of the Indian cricket team’s victory celebration after winning the T20 World Cup.
After the grand rally, the Indian players were felicitated at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Cricket Board of India President Roger Binny and Secretary Jai Shah offered Rs 125 crore as incentive for winning the World Cup.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma speaking to the fans on this occasion said, ‘I am fortunate to lead this outstanding team. All the players in the team performed well. Hardik Pandya’s bowling was brilliant especially in the last over of the final game.
Mumbai never disappoints. The response from the fans was amazing. We thank them on behalf of the team. This success has brought smiles on the faces of millions of people. This world cup belongs to the entire nation. ICC I dedicate this to the fans who have been waiting for the trophy for the past 11 years.
