The United States, which has been cracking down on Taliban militants in Afghanistan for the past 20 years in retaliation for the twin-tower attack, withdrew its troops just weeks ago.
The Taliban have since begun to regain control of Afghanistan, believing this to be the case. They are occupying many parts of Afghanistan.
The terrorists have seized not only the border posts but also the main roads connecting the cities. The Taliban have reportedly taken control of a third of Afghanistan’s 400 districts. Tensions remain high as Afghan government forces-Taliban militants begin a fierce conflict.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has accused more than 10,000 jihadist militants of entering Afghanistan from Pakistan last month. If there is a war in Afghanistan, we will be the ones to suffer the most. Imran Khan retaliated by saying that we should not be blamed for what is currently happening in Afghanistan.
In this situation, “Pakistan needs peace. We need a lasting relationship, a predictable relationship with Pakistan that will pay off, “said Afghan President Ashraf Ghani today. He said this in an interview with a news agency. “Terrorists are advancing on cities and border checkpoints. But he says Afghan national forces are superior to the Taliban.
“Winning in some wars does not mean winning the whole war. They [the Taliban] have won some parts of the wars. But in the end they are going to lose the war. We will win. We are committed to this, “said Afghan President Ashraf Ghani. Ashraf Ghani has also expressed condolences over the death of Danish Siddiqui, an Indian journalist killed in a terrorist attack in Afghanistan.
