The main objective of the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation is to ensure that quality books are available to school children and to constantly improve their quality. That is to say, the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Mission has been tasked with producing Tamil and English medium textbooks from Class I to Class XII, including vocational textbooks for the upper class, including textbooks for teacher training, and providing them free of cost to government and government aided schools and at very low cost to private schools. The textbooks produced by the institute provide information on world events, revolutions, scientific discoveries, leaders who fought for the Indian liberation struggle, leaders who fought for the Indian cause after the liberation struggle, leaders who fought for Tamil Nadu, social justice, women’s advancement and poverty alleviation. The appointment of Dindigul Leoni as the President of the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Institute, which is tasked with designing quality subjects in various textbooks including history, politics, general knowledge, sociology and science, and presenting Tamil culture and civilization in order to determine the future of Tamil Nadu students, undermines the very purpose of the institute. In the guise of a bar, Leoni has a habit of insulting women, lashing out at political party leaders and trying to instill uncivilized ideas in the minds of the people, especially the younger generation. Leoni is one who can disparage political party leaders in the name of humor. Appointing him to this post will spread misconceptions among the students and their future will be greatly affected.

Therefore, I request the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to reconsider this appointment and to appoint a person who respects women as the President of the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Association on the basis that good ideas should reach the students, which are the future pillars of Tamil Nadu.
