The Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation, which is a subsidiary of the Tamil Nadu School Education Department, prints and sells government textbooks.

In this context, the government has appointed Leoni, the policy outreach secretary of the DMK, as the president of the Pathanul Kazhaka.

Prior to his inauguration, his interview sparked controversy. Protests erupted, saying, ‘School education is a post for anyone who talks about women’s hips.’

Since it was the day of the new moon yesterday, it was announced that the inauguration would take place in the morning and all arrangements had been made at the Pathanul Kazhaka office.

But, Leoni did not come to take office until yesterday evening. The reason for his absence was not disclosed to the Pathanul Institute by Leoni.

Thus, the authorities were confused.

AIADMK co-ordinator Panneer Selvam has demanded that a person who respects women be appointed as the president of the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Association.

His statement: The appointment of Leoni as the President of the Tamil Nadu Textbooks and Educational Services Association is a distortion of the very purpose of the Institute, which could jeopardize the quality of the Institute. In the guise of a bar, speaking disparagingly of women; Lashing out at political party leaders; Leoni has a habit of trying to sow uncivilized, misguided, immoral ideas in people’s minds.

By appointing him to this post, misconceptions will be taken to the students and their future will be greatly affected. Therefore, in the interest of Tamil Nadu students, this appointment should be reconsidered so that good ideas can reach the students.

A person who respects women should be appointed as the President of the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Association, he said.
