Clashes erupted between Shiv Sena supporters and BJP supporters in Maharashtra’s Sindhudurg district in protest of the petrol price hike.
The district police official said that there was a petrol station run close by BJP MP and former Shiv Sena leader Narayan Rane in Kudal area. Shiv Sena MLA Vaibhav Naik and his supporters on Saturday paid motorists who came to the station to condemn the petrol price hike. Seeing this, BJP supporters gathered at a petrol station and chanted slogans against Vaibhav Naik. Then there was an argument between the two sides. Following that, they collided.
Upon learning of this, the police went to the scene and dispersed everyone. Vaibhav Naik said 12 of his supporters and 21 of the BJP had been booked in connection with the incident.
