Video based social networking sites are very trending among the current generation. Examples include the growth of Instagram’s Reels, YouTube’s Shorts and TikTok. In this situation, Elon Musk is going to introduce a feature based only on video sharing on the X platform as well.
Work is in full swing to add a video-only shareable feature to the X platform to challenge Reels, Shorts and TikTok. This special feature is going to be introduced in beta version only for certain users. It looks like it will be extended to all users following its success.
Elon Musk took over Twitter in October 2022. After this he changed the name to X. Later on the X site also brought many changes. Musk, who is campaigning to make X site the number one social networking site, has launched efforts to bring video-based sharing to their site, which is currently the most in-demand and trending.
Already when it was operating as Twitter, a video sharing system called Vine was in use. It encouraged the re-creation and posting of videos. This is why ice bucket challenges became so popular. Last April, Elon Musk ran a poll on the X site asking whether to bring back the Vine feature. 70% people said that they can bring it.
It has been reported that the newly introduced video sharing feature on the X platform will allow sharing of short and long-form videos. Not only that, but it seems that a special feature will be added that will allow you to broadcast live videos. It is said that special agreements are being made with various celebrities, sportspersons and media houses for this purpose.
It seems that the X CEO is automatically taking the lead and developing it with special attention. Apart from this, X is also planning to organize exclusive events with various celebrities. Even recently former US MP Tulsi Gabbard had announced that she is going to host a new show in collaboration with X site.
