The National Examination Agency informed that the NEET question paper has not been leaked.
The National Examinations Agency has said that 23 students involved in malpractice in the NEET examination have been banned from writing the examination and the results of another 40 have been withheld.
Some students have filed a case in the Supreme Court alleging irregularities in the results of the NEET exam for admission to medical courses and seeking a re-examination order. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the National Examinations Agency conducting the NEET exam.
In this case, National Examination Agency Director General Subodkumar Singh has given an interview to a Muslim organization. In which he said:-
Impersonation, Cheating, OMR in NEET 63 students were caught doing dishonest things like paper tampering. A 4-member committee of experts in education and examinations was constituted to investigate the complaints against them.
Based on the committee’s recommendation, 12 students have been banned from writing the exam for 3 years. 9 students have been banned for 2 years and 2 students have been banned for one year each.
The results of remaining 40 students have been withheld.
NEET exam question paper is not leaked. The sanctity of NEET exam is not compromised in any way.
The central government has set up a 4-member committee to inquire into mercy marks given to 1,563 students. The committee is yet to submit its report. Based on its recommendations, 1,563 students will either be re-examined or an alternative method will be devised so that no student is affected.
Out of 67 who got full marks, 44 were given mercy marks due to change in physics exam answer sheet and 6 due to time wastage.
