Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has said that the weak BJP government will topple in August.
The foundation day ceremony of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Bihar was held in Patna yesterday. A large number of RJD party officials and volunteers participated in this function. Lalu Prasad Yadav, founder of RJD party, spoke among the party workers.
Speaking then, Lalu Prasad said, I would like to convey a message here to the stalwarts of our party. Another Lok Sabha election could come anytime. Volunteers should be ready for that. The ruling National Democratic Alliance government at the center is in a very bad shape. It is a weak coalition government with two state parties. This coalition government will fall by next August.
So, be prepared for volunteer election work. The United Janata Dal Party here has compromised from its principles and allied with the BJP for governance and power. But the Rashtriya Janata Dal never gives up on its principles.
We have never bowed down to BJP before and now. Our party’s vote share has increased by 9 percent in the last Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, the National Democratic Alliance’s vote share fell by 6 percent.
We re-examined our party’s performance in the Lok Sabha elections. Our party has performed satisfactorily. Today we won 4 Lok Sabha constituencies. We will get more than this in the coming elections. In the last election, we won 9 seats along with our alliance parties,” he said.
Tejashwi Yadav, son of Lalu Prasad Yadav and former deputy chief minister of Bihar, said that one engine is driving corruption in the BJP-led twin-engine regime. Another encourages crime. But the Nitish Kumar government is blaming me for NEET question paper leak, serial bridge accidents and murders in Bihar. If they have evidence, let them arrest me.
The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance won 293 seats in the recently concluded parliamentary elections. However, the BJP alone won only 240 seats and did not get a majority. Subsequently, the coalition government was formed with the support of Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu parties.
