BJP State President Annamalai has said that three years after DMK came to power, the teachers’ struggle continues every year, but no solution has been reached for them.
In his X post about this,
Today in Chennai, on behalf of the Joint Action Committee of Primary Education Teachers’ Movements, a peaceful protest was held on 31 points, including re-implementation of the old pension scheme, settlement of wage discrepancies of secondary teachers, abandonment of Ordinance 243, promotion of teachers and head teachers, permission to surrender earned leave. Arrest of teachers is strongly condemned.
In its election promises No. 309 and 311, the DMK had promised to bring back the old pension scheme for teachers and to remove the wage discrepancy of intermediate teachers.
However, three years have passed since DMK came to power, and the teachers’ struggle continues every year, but no solution has been reached for them.
Annamalai strongly condemned the DMK government for continuously cheating the teachers who are creating the future of the students and urged the DMK government to fulfill their legitimate demands immediately.
