Secretaries have been transferred in key departments including the Defense Department.
The central government has ordered to change the secretaries of the important departments of the central government. In this regard, the order issued by the central personnel ministry has stated that:-
Punya Salila Srivastava, who has been serving as Special Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, has been appointed as Secretary, Health and Family Welfare. Apoorva Chandra’s tenure as the current Health Secretary will end on 30th of next month, after which Punya Salila Srivastava will take over. Rajesh Kumar Singh, Secretary of Industry and Domestic Investment Promotion, has been appointed as the new Defense Secretary.
The tenure of Aramane Giridar, who is currently the Defense Secretary, will end on October 31. Until then, Rajesh Kumar Singh will serve as the Special Executive Officer of the Ministry of Defence. Apart from this, Kathikitala Srinivas, Secretary, Minority Affairs Department, has been posted as Secretary, Housing and Urban Affairs Department.
Deepti Umashankar as the new Secretary to the President, Vivek Joshi as the Secretary of the Financial Services Department and Nagaraju Mathirala as the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Coal have been appointed as the new Secretary of the Financial Services Department.
