Tamil Nadu BJP’s central committee meeting will be held today at Kamalalayam, the party’s head office in Thiagaraya Nagar, Chennai, after the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. It has been reported that the meeting to be held under the leadership of Annamalai will discuss the defeat of the BJP alliance in Tamil Nadu.
In Tamil Nadu, there was a four-cornered contest, but now the DMK alliance has won a big victory. The coalition won 40 to 40 in Puduvai constituencies in Tamil Nadu, which made the alliance members excited.
Apart from this alliance, AIADMK alliance, BJP alliance and Naam Tamilar Party have contested in the Lok Sabha elections. The defeat of these two alliances and the Naam Tamil Party in the elections has become a talking point in the political arena.
It was because of the breakup of the AIADMK-BJP alliance that both the parties suffered a crushing defeat. ‘Some’ BJP people are criticizing on social media that the reason for this is Annamalai. It is being talked about that if an alliance consisting of parties including AIADMK, BJP, BAM and DMDK is formed, it would have won at least 5 members of parliament, which would have been a big success.
Also speaking about the alliance, former AIADMK minister SP Velumani Annamalai said that the alliance was not formed because of this, the BJP suffered a heavy defeat. Tamilisai Soundararajan had welcomed his opinion. Especially when Tamilisai said that there are rowdies in the party, it caused a huge uproar within the party. Because of this Annamalai supporters criticized him very harshly. Due to this, it was said that two teams have formed in the BJP.
Above all, Union Home Minister Amit Shah called former Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on the stage at Chandrababu Naidu’s swearing-in ceremony. There were reports that Amit Shah had expressed his displeasure over the conflict between the Annamalai-Tamilisai faction in the Tamil Nadu BJP. As this video got a lot of attention on social media, Annamalai met Tamilisai the next day and tweeted as sister-brother.
In this situation, after the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, the central committee meeting of the BJP Tamil Nadu will be held today at the party’s head office, Kamalalayam in Thiagaraya Nagar, Chennai. Union Minister of State L. Murugan, Organization Secretary Kesava Vinayak, former Union Minister Pon. Radhakrishnan, senior executives H. Raja, Vanathi Srinivasan, Nayanar Nagendran and other central committee members are expected to participate in this meeting.
In this meeting, it is said that issues such as the decline in the vote percentage in the Lok Sabha elections, the reason why Tamil Nadu suffered a heavy defeat while winning an MP seat in Kerala, the future plans of the party and the internal conflict in the party are said to be discussed. At the end of the meeting, a detailed report has been prepared and sent to the Delhi leadership on the reason for the failure. The meeting has attracted much attention as it is the first BJP meeting after the election defeat.
