Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai has said that the Tamil Nadu election results have not rejected Hindutva politics. Yesterday, Annamalai gave an interview to the media when the BJP was defeated in all places in Tamil Nadu.
The BJP has won 240 of the 441 constituencies in the Lok Sabha elections. Even if the National Democratic Alliance does not get the required number of seats, the BJP alliance is going to form the government.
Prime Minister Modi is set to take over as Prime Minister for the third time on the 8th. BJP did not win a single seat in Tamil Nadu. Annamalai, who contested in Coimbatore, lost. While the BJP has not won a single seat in Tamil Nadu, the party’s state president Annamalai gave an interview to the media today. Then he said:-
The BJP’s defeat in the Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu cannot be seen as a rejection of Hindutva politics. Let’s discuss what went wrong and learn from it. It is sad that BJP did not win in Tamil Nadu.
They say that if we add the vote percentage of the BJP-led alliance and the AIADMK alliance vote percentage in Tamil Nadu, it could have pushed the DMK back by 30 to 31 constituencies. When people vote in elections, they vote for each coalition. The truth is that both of them didn’t join for one reason or another, rather than if we would have succeeded.
Our goal is to win the upcoming 2026 assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and take power. BJP coalition government will be formed. For that, let’s work hard. In the Lok Sabha elections, the 50-year-old political party lost its deposit in 7 seats. It was the National Democratic Alliance that conducted it. In Coimbatore, which the AIADMK claims to be a stronghold, the party has secured a narrow margin.
My job is to grow the party. No one is sponsored. If patronage is to be done, another leader will be appointed. But I am working as Prime Minister Modi and National President JP Natta have said.
The people have given a good judgment for it. The former minister said that I want to have a plan. His son has been relegated to the 3rd position in South Chennai. Surprises happen in politics. There will be ups and downs,” he said.
