The BJP was removed from the AIADMK alliance in Tamil Nadu in the Lok Sabha elections. In this situation, Narendra Modi is going to take office tomorrow for the 3rd consecutive time after 2014 and 2019. Tamil Nadu Opposition Leader Edappadi Palaniswami has congratulated Prime Minister Modi as the preparations for this are going on vigorously.
The Lok Sabha elections have been conducted in 7 phases in our country. Subsequently, the election results were announced on the 4th. No party has got the magic number 272 required to form a separate government.
BJP won 240 constituencies with no one getting a single majority and forms the government at the center along with its allies.
In this regard, yesterday, a consultation meeting of BJP and its alliance party MPs was held in the central hall of the Old Parliament of Delhi. In this meeting, Prime Minister Modi was chosen as the leader of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Lok Sabha.
After that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to the President’s House and met President Thirelapathi Murmu and claimed the right to form the government. With his permission, Narendra Modi will be sworn in as Prime Minister tomorrow night at the President’s House. He has already served as the Prime Minister in 2014 and 2019, and by assuming office tomorrow, he is the Prime Minister for the 3rd time in a row.
With this, he is set to equal former Prime Minister Nehru’s record. It is in such an environment that Modi is being congratulated by his alliance party leaders and world leaders. It is in this context that now Tamil Nadu Opposition Leader and General Secretary of AIADMK, Edappadi Palanishamy has congratulated Narendra Modi.
BJP was in the AIADMK alliance in Tamil Nadu. But the AIADMK-BJP alliance broke up before the Lok Sabha elections. And important leaders including Edappadi Palaniswami keep saying that there will never be an alliance with the BJP. Besides, there is a frequent war of words between AIADMK and BJP.
It is in this context that Edappadi Palaniswami’s congratulations to Narendra Modi, who is going to become the Prime Minister for the 3rd time, has received attention. In this regard, in the X post he has published, he has said, “On behalf of AIADMK and myself, I extend my heartiest congratulations to Narendra Modi, who is about to take office as the Prime Minister of India for the third time.”
