BJP state president Annamalai has accused the DMK of failing to control crime during its three-year tumultuous rule.
In his statement on this,
Ever since the DMK came to power, Tamil Nadu has become a den of anti-social elements. Crime has increased all over Tamil Nadu like never before.
Tamil Nadu has been put in a bad situation where there are no days without news of murder and robbery.
According to the National Crime Records Bureau, crimes against the elderly, women and children have increased in Tamil Nadu. But Chief Minister Stalin, who is in charge of the police, does not know what is going on in the country and just reads what someone writes and leaves it unchanged.
It is not even known if the Chief Minister actually reads the news or if the officials brief him about the law and order situation in Tamil Nadu.
In courts, busy roads, public gathering places, school and college entrances, police stations, there are no places where massacres do not take place.
The fact that there is no security for the public in any part of Tamil Nadu has created a sense of fear among the public as to whether the police under the Chief Minister’s responsibility is actually functioning.
Especially, Chennai, the capital, has become a killing city.
Chennai has become a hot spot for crimes committed in all parts of Tamil Nadu. Chasing has become a common occurrence among the public on Chennai’s busy roads. The perpetrators of murder are mostly young people.
They are not even in a position to consider the consequences of their crime. Suspicions are being raised that the growing circulation of ganja is enticing the youth to act as mercenaries in criminal activities. A question has arisen among the public whether this is one of the reasons why the DMK government is ignoring the circulation of drugs including ganja.
Yesterday, State General Secretary of Tamil Nadu BJP Women’s Team, Advocate Mrs. Nadia Srinivasan and her husband Mr. A murderous attack was carried out on Srinivasan by mercenaries.
The attack took place in broad daylight in front of the public, very close to the Deputy Commissioner of Police’s office in Anna Nagar, the most important part of Chennai.
It shows that the police under Chief Minister Stalin is completely dysfunctional. Law and order in Tamil Nadu is on its deathbed.
Three murders in Chennai yesterday alone reflect the law and order situation here.
During DMK’s three-year tumultuous rule, crime could not be controlled. Drug trafficking could not be stopped. These have increased manifold.
But as a result of the DMK government using the intelligence department and the police only to take revenge on those who criticize the government and the opposition, there is no safety for the lives of the people in Tamil Nadu today. The public has come to a point where they can no longer rely on the police for their safety.
Someone has to wake up Chief Minister Stalin from his slumber, who knows nothing about this, looks at the ticket and dreams that we are number one.
It should be mentioned that law and order in Tamil Nadu is lying in the abyss. The public should be made aware of the insecurity of life. In Tamil Nadu, I am obliged to warn that DMK will have to face huge consequences if it does not control the crime and drug traffic.
