In Pondicherry, people over the age of 18 are being vaccinated for free … but pregnant women are not being vaccinated.

The National Committee for Immunization had recommended that pregnant women be vaccinated in this case.

In that regard, the first vaccination camp for pregnant women in Pondicherry started yesterday. The camp was started by Mohan Kumar, Director of Health, Rajiv Gandhi Women and Children’s Hospital.

As he puts it, in Pondicherry, we are gradually vaccinating everyone. Now, in order to give protection to pregnant women, we have started the first ever corona vaccination program for pregnant women after many researches. Injecting pregnant women does not cause any harm to the baby.

So far we have vaccinated 5.5 lakh people in Puducherry. There are no major casualties or deaths. Therefore, pregnant women can come and be vaccinated without any hesitation.
