The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Coimbatore North district has passed a resolution calling for the creation of a separate state of the KonguNadu by uniting the western districts of Tamil Nadu.
Coimbatore North District BJP Executive Committee meeting was held at Annur, Coimbatore District. The meeting was chaired by Coimbatore North District Chairman Jayanathan.
The meeting was attended by executives including state vice-president Kanakasabapathy and state executive committee member Muruganantham. The Central Government should administratively reorganize the state and declare the western region as the new state of Kongunadu in order to protect the livelihoods and development of the people of the western region of Tamil Nadu.
We condemn the allocation of free corona vaccines provided by the Central Government free of cost to the Chennai region and less to the Coimbatore region without adequate distribution to all. Condemnations to DMK-backed MLA Eeswaran for insulting our patriotic slogan ‘Jai Hind’ in the Assembly and to the Tamil Nadu government for supporting it.
Resolutions were passed to protect the coconut farmers, including that the purchase price of copra should be fixed at Rs.150 per kg.
