Tamil Nadu BJP state president Annamalai has urged the immediate release of those arrested in the Thiruparankundram issue.
In a post he posted in this regard, he said: “The DMK government has imposed Section 144 in the entire Madurai district to prevent the protest that was to be held today to protect the sanctity of the temple, condemning the organizations that are acting against Hinduism and condemning the DMK government that is acting in a discriminatory manner in the events related to the Thiruparankundram Arulmigu Subramania Swamy Temple Hill.
However, as the entire state of Tamil Nadu has issued Section 144 prohibitory orders, Tamil Nadu BJP Virudhunagar East District President Pentagon G. Pandurangan, Coimbatore City District President Ramesh, Thoothukudi North District President Ku. Saravanakrishnan, Salem City District President Mr. He said that the DMK government is behaving in an anti-democratic manner by arresting and keeping many people like T.V. Sasikumar and Tamil Nadu BJP brothers under house arrest.
There is a limit to everything. Is there justice for the DMK minister and justice for the public? He also said that the DMK government should immediately stop supporting unnecessary activities that continue to harass the patient and brotherly people of Tamil Nadu.
Annamalai has insisted that all those arrested should be released immediately and that permission should be given to protest democratically.
