BJP state president K Annamalai said that the alliance with AIADMK is continuing. He also said that a request has been made to the Central Government to make additional vaccines available to Tamil Nadu.
Auditor Ramesh from Salem was the BJP state treasurer. He was assassinated 8 years ago. An 8th anniversary commemoration ceremony for him was held in Salem on Monday. Tamil Nadu BJP leader K Annamalai was present and Auditor Ramesh paid floral tributes to the portrait.
He told reporters that it had been eight years since the murder of Auditor Ramesh and the culprits had not been convicted. An injunction has been obtained in the Supreme Court in this regard. I am going to meet the Union Law Minister in person and make a request to lift this ban.
Once the ban is lifted, the trial will take place and the perpetrators will be punished. The federal government is taking steps to ensure that all members of the public across the country receive at least one dose of the vaccine by December 31. Steps will be taken to make additional vaccines available to Tamil Nadu in this regard. The federal government has been quick to act on the vaccine.
At present, Rs 14,000 crore has been allocated for the purchase of 66 crore vaccines. On this basis, additional vaccines will be available for Tamil Nadu. It has been 72 days since the DMK came to power in Tamil Nadu. People have voted for the new regime in anticipation of change. Criticism of the newly responsible government can only be reported after 6 months. Whereas if the rulers make a mistake we will definitely knock.
They have been alternately commenting on NEET since he came to power, saying he would ban NEET selection in the first series of meetings of the legislature. The DMK, which has promised that the NEET exam will not take place, is now changing and saying that it is not right. For us the NEET choice is not against anyone. Due to NEET selection, the last 2020 year curriculum has undergone significant change.
In addition, the NEET exam has created an opportunity for a large number of rural students to study medicine. The 7.5 per cent reservation of the Tamil Nadu government will also help in this. It is not correct to refer to the BJP as a religious force. As soon as the BJP came to power, as per the recommendation of the Sachar Committee, we have been identifying the areas where the minority population is most concentrated and implementing the welfare schemes they need in the area.
The alliance with the AIADMK continues in Tamil Nadu. In this we are clear. AIADMK coordinator O. Panneerselvam and co-coordinator Edappadi K. Palanisamy have already announced that they will continue their alliance with the BJP. We will continue to travel on this basis. The All India leadership will announce the status of the local body elections as soon as the election is declared.
In Tamil Nadu, the ideological rivalry is between the BJP and the DMK. The DMK is speaking against our ideologies. The DMK has not implemented the various demands stated in the election manifesto. The DMK, which came to power saying it would reduce petrol and diesel prices, has yet to implement it. This is not monetary politics.
It is the position of the Tamil Nadu BJP that a dam should not be built in Megha Dadu. If the dam is built, water will not be available to Tamil Nadu during the dry season. We are part of an all-party committee that went to Delhi to stop this at an early stage. He said no one should divide the BJP in the interest of Tamil Nadu and Tamils.
