Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the International Telecommunication Conference in Delhi.
International Telecommunication Union’s standardization meeting was held at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi. Prime Minister Modi, who participated in it, inaugurated and visited the exhibition on telecommunication. Following this, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the standardization meeting of the Telecommunication Union. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Akash Ambani and others participated in the event.
Later speaking on the program, Prime Minister Modi said that India is one of the countries in the world in terms of telecommunication and related technology.
He said that 120 crore people in India are mobile phone users and 90 crore people are using the internet. Primidham said that in 2014 there were 2 cell phone manufacturing units in India and now they have increased to 200.
He said that India is currently working on providing indigenously manufactured cell phones to the world. Also, when he got the opportunity to lead the G20 summit, he said that India will take on the task of connecting the world from conflict through the International Telecommunication Union Conference, as he delivered the message of One Earth, One Family, One Future.
