This year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Diwali with soldiers at the India-Pakistan border in the Kutch area of Gujarat, continuing his tradition of celebrating the festival with military personnel. Wearing a military uniform, Modi distributed sweets to the soldiers and joined them in sharing the joy of Diwali.
In his address, the Prime Minister expressed his happiness, stating, “It brings me great joy to celebrate Diwali with the brave soldiers of our armed forces.” He added that India is unwavering in its commitment to securing its borders, emphasizing that the country will never make concessions on its territorial integrity.
Modi also lauded the soldiers’ dedication and selfless service, assuring them of his complete trust in their readiness and capability to defend the nation. “Our soldiers remain vigilant and fully committed to the nation’s security,” he said, adding, “We do not place faith in the words of adversaries, but rather judge by their actions.”
The event underscored the Prime Minister’s respect for the sacrifices and service of India’s military forces, highlighting their crucial role in safeguarding the nation.
