The Lok Sabha congratulated the Indian team for winning the T20 World Cup.
While the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha started on 24th, it was adjourned on 28th due to the opposition party’s agitation regarding the NEET issue.
Two days later both Houses of Parliament reconvened.
Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Speaker Om Birla congratulated the Indian team for winning the T20 World Cup.
When he congratulated the players including Indian team captain Rohit Sharma, the members thumped the table and expressed their happiness.
Following this, he explained that it is not in the hands of the person sitting on the chair to control the mic and this is a practice that has been in place for a long time.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla clarified the allegation that the mic was switched off when members were speaking.
