Central Home Minister Amit Shah has accused the Kerala government of failing to take action despite early warning regarding the disaster in Wayanad.
As the death toll continues to rise due to the landslide in Wayanad, Kerala, the Army, Air Force and Navy are engaged in rescuing the affected people.
In this case, the Kerala MP demanded in the Rajya Sabha that the Wayanad landslide should be declared a disaster. Responding to this, Central Home Minister Amit Shah asked why the Kerala government did not take action despite the central government’s early warning regarding the disaster in Wayanad. He questioned.
He said that 9 disaster rescue teams were sent to Kerala on July 23 and urged the state governments to heed the central government’s disaster warnings.
Also, Amit Shah said, “There should be no politics” in this issue and said, “The central government has spent more than 2000 crore rupees since 2014 to create an early warning system for disasters.”
