Central Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that BJP is a different party than Congress and that is why people have chosen BJP.
In the last 2 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had a single majority. However, the BJP did not get a majority in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. This is seen as a major setback for the party. So the leaders of the party have embarked on the consideration of the election defeat. Central Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that the BJP is a different party than the Congress.
A meeting was held for state BJP officials in Goa capital Panaji. Gadkari who participated in it said as above. The meeting was attended by Goa BJP president Satanand Thanawade and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
Gadkari addressed the gathering for over an hour. In which he said, “I want to tell you what Advani told me. That is, Advani used to say that BJP is a different party from other parties. We need to understand how different we are from other parties. It is because of the mistakes of the Congress that people have chosen the BJP
We must not repeat these mistakes. I warn the party about this. Perhaps if we make the same mistakes as the Congress, we will lose any sense of being in power. That is why, in the coming days, party workers should know that politics is a tool to bring about social and economic reforms.
A corruption free country should be created and a plan should be made for it. The politics of Maharashtra, where I belong, is very different. Many people are doing politics based on caste in Maharashtra. I will definitely not follow this style. I have promised people that I will not get involved in caste politics. Those who talk about castes will be thrown out of power.
Any person is known only by his values and not his caste. So without getting involved in caste politics meet people directly and understand their problems and politicize it and solve it. Go to every constituency and strengthen the organization to maintain the party rule in 2027 assembly elections in Goa.”
In the past, there has been a fierce conflict between Gadkari and the Modi-Amit Shah alliance. When Gadkari contested for the third term from the Nagpur constituency, there were criticisms that the Modi-Shah alliance was actively working to defeat him. In this situation, Nitin Katshikari has pointedly criticized the activities of the party leaders as being similar to the Congress.
