The Madras High Court has allowed RSS marches and public meetings to be held in Tamil Nadu from 3 pm to 7 pm.
RSS asked permission to hold team class on 6th October on the occasion of Vijayadashami. On behalf of the organization, its administrators Karthikeyan and others have filed a petition in the Madras High Court.
These petitions came up for hearing again today before Justice G. Jayachandran. At that time, it was informed by the police that while permission was sought at 58 places, the RSS was allowed to hold a march at 52 places, and at places including Mangadu, the school administration did not allow the march.
The judge questioned why the RSS rally should not be held in private schools and asked why the police refused permission if the private school management allowed it.
Questioning the fact that other programs are being conducted in private schools, the judge also ordered that the new rules should not impose restrictions on RSS marches.
Judge Jayachandran gave permission and ordered that RSS marches and public meetings can be held throughout Tamil Nadu between 3 pm and 7 pm.
