Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah today inaugurated various development projects worth ₹146 crore in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, via video conferencing.
As part of these initiatives, he laid the foundation stone for a four-lane road over the Narmada Canal on the National Highway at a cost of ₹36.30 crore and a new flyover in Sarodi at a cost of ₹45 crore.
While addressing the gathering, Amit Shah extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the country on the occasion of Holi. He also announced the construction of a railway overbridge (ROB) on the Sanand-Sekhla-Kadi Road along the Ahmedabad-Viramgam railway route, covering a length of approximately 1 km at an estimated cost of ₹60 crore.
He further stated that these infrastructure projects would play a crucial role in the development of the four assembly constituencies within the Gandhinagar parliamentary constituency.
Additionally, Amit Shah emphasized that Gujarat currently ranks first in the country in terms of infrastructure development. He also revealed that the central government plans to build a modern hospital with 500 beds in Sanand, which will provide round-the-clock medical services to the residents of Sanand and Bavla taluks.
Furthermore, he highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India’s national highway network has expanded by more than 60% over the past 10 years.
