Devendra Fadnavis, who took over as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra, now let’s see the political path taken by…
Who will be the next chief minister? This is the question echoing in everyone’s mind after the overwhelming victory of the BJP alliance in the Maharashtra elections. Perhaps if the state was ruled by Dravidian parties, they would have turned a blind eye and given the chief ministerial title to the successors in the order of grandfather, father, son and grandson.
People can be fooled by saying that is democracy. But is Maharashtra a state that practices the philosophical politics of ‘Hinduism’? Here there is no such thing as an alliance only for elections and no alliance in government.
Here the political character of honoring those who worked for the success of the alliance by giving them positions according to their merits is followed. That is the reason for the delay in deciding the chief ministerial candidate. Even in this situation, a name is constantly being muttered not only in the BJP circle but also at the public level that it would be good if ‘Ivar’ comes as the next Chief Minister. That magical name is ‘Devendra Fadnavis’.
Who is Devendra Fadnavis..?
Devendra Fadnavis was born in Nagpur in 1970. His father Gangader Fadnavis was a member of the Nagpur Assembly. Due to this Devendra Fadnavis also got interested in politics from childhood.
Subsequently he got in touch with Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh known as RSS. As he clearly understood the real history of our country, cultural superiority, divisive machinations of foreigners etc. from the Sangh, the determination to dedicate himself fully for the development of the motherland was born in him at an early age.
That was the time when the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had declared emergency after burying democracy. Devendra Padnavis father Gangadhar was sent to prison for his struggle against political oppression.
At that time, Devendra Fadnavis was studying in a school called ‘INDIRA CONVENT’. He immediately left saying that I will no longer study in a school run in the name of a dictator. The chest he showed at that young age attracted his fellow students. They also started raising their voices against Emergency as much as they could.
After completing his studies in various schools, he graduated in law. He got involved in the ABVP, a national student body, during his law school days. The political experience gained through it led him to contest and win the Nagpur Mayoral election.
With this, Fadnavis became the second youngest mayor in Maharashtra politics. He also won the Nagpur assembly elections held in 1999. With this, he stepped into the legislature for the first time. He didn’t stop there. Through his rousing speeches, he started strengthening the BJP by bringing nationalism across Maharashtra.
Its echo..? In the 2014 elections, the BJP alliance formed the government with a landslide victory. Realizing Fadnavis’s contribution in that victory, the Delhi BJP supremo announced him as the Chief Minister.
When he sat on the chair as Chief Minister, he was busy thinking and implementing schemes for the people without drowning in the intoxication of office. He brought projects like ‘Mumbai Next’ to make Mumbai an international economic city and ‘Police Digitization’ to modernize the police force.
For the first time in the country, he introduced the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) program and brought law and order. The CM fellowship, which was introduced to provide experience in government administration to young graduates, was well received. A program that touched the hearts of the people was the reservation in government jobs mainly for the destitute.
He also did not forget the villages which are the heartbeat of India. He also brought important schemes like cutting ponds and loan waivers across the state for farmers.
If they continue to announce and implement such good programs, will the opposition parties be idle? Will they survive? As usual, people started politicizing the problem by adding their separatist slogan.
That means many communities are backward in Maharashtra. Although the demand to give them reservation has been going on for years, there have been some legal problems. Taking advantage of this, they branded the communities concerned as ‘Maratha race’ and declared their struggle for reservation.
They launched campaigns to spread hatred against the people of other states, saying that there should be no reservation for the Marathas in Maharashtra. The main parties that did this were the Congress and the Nationalist Congress parties.
The point is that certain communities were already given reservation by the previous government. But why reservation should be given to those communities? The previous government had not prepared clear data on the question.
The result? The Bombay High Court has canceled the reservation. The opposition parties deftly blamed the BJP for their inaction.
Taking this to their advantage, the opposition parties started inciting riots across the state. But Fadnavis is not afraid of all these political games. He set up a committee to permanently fix the mess made by the previous government.
Through it, information on the livelihoods of communities requiring reservation was systematically documented. Focusing on that, Fadnavis restored the 2018 reservation for the people.
Following this, support for Fadnavis increased. The BJP-Shiv Sena alliance won the 2019 elections. Just when it was expected that Fadnavis would be elected as the Chief Minister again, an unexpected twist happened. Uddhav Thackeray raised the battle cry that I will be the first.
If they had been a little more patient, the BJP would have given new suggestions. But by then the BJP had backstabbed him and joined the Congress alliance. As a result, the BJP regime there was overthrown.
The next two years were a chaotic situation in Maharashtra. At this time, the key executives of the party lost faith in Uddhav Thackeray. They realized that Uddhav Thackeray was using the party which Pal Thackeray had built out of extreme Hinduism for his own selfish interests.
As a result, most of the Shiv Sena MLAs under the leadership of Eknath Shinde rejoined the BJP alliance. To appreciate that policy decision, Fadnavis nominated Shinde as the Chief Minister without showing any ego despite being a former Chief Minister and took over as the Deputy Chief Minister.
Our support is only for policy and labor by choosing the BJP alliance in the next elections of 2024. People have also made it clear that we will not support family, selfishness and separatism.
With Devendra Fadnavis taking over as Chief Minister again, he is not in the party looking for posts. There is no doubt that he will work as a servant of the people as molded by Hinduism
