The Prime Minister’s Kisan Fund Scheme is a scheme to allocate funds to farmers under the Union Department of Agriculture. Funds are allocated for this project in every installment. In this situation, Modi, who took office as the Prime Minister for the 3rd time, has allocated Rs 20,000 crore as the 17th installment for the project as his signature. This will benefit 9.3 crore farmers across the country.

During the previous regime of Narendra Modi, there was a lot of opposition among the farmers. In particular, they staged a vigorous protest in Delhi demanding various demands including minimum support price for agricultural produce. However, the Modi-led government was accused of not heeding their demands.

Peasant deaths, peasant protests etc. had a great impact on North India. It is said that due to this, the BJP could not get a majority this time. In this context, it is said that Prime Minister Modi, who has been sworn in for the 3rd time, has given his first signature by allocating funds to the PM Kisan scheme as a statement that his new government will give importance to the welfare of farmers.
