A separate ministry for the co-operative sector to formulate a co-operative policy … created by the Central Government …!

The Union government, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has set up a separate ministry for the co-operative sector to develop co-operative policy across the country.

The new cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office in 2019 and has completed 2 years. At present, there are 53 ministers in the Union Cabinet. It has been reported that the Union Cabinet is to be expanded, considering various factors, including the 7 state assembly elections to be held next year.

In this connection, Prime Minister Modi has held several consultations with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national leader Natta, BJP general secretary Santosh and others. According to reports, former Bihar Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, former Assam Chief Minister Sarpanch Sono, and former Congress minister Jyotir Aditya Cynthia may be sworn in as Union Ministers and the new cabinet will take office today (July 7) or on September 9.

In this context, the Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Modi has formed a new cabinet called the ‘Cooperative Ministry’. Developed with the principle vision of ‘Sahkar Se Samirthi’ (Prosperity from Cooperation). According to central government sources, the ‘Ministry of Co-operation’ was set up to look after the co-operative sector across the country, bring in new regulations for the co-operative sector and formulate a uniform co-operative policy across the country. As the Union Cabinet is said to be expanding today, it is said that a Minister may also be appointed for the newly formed Co-operative Sector.
