From Make in India to Chandrayaan 3, what are the ambitious projects implemented by the Modi government in the last 10 years of rule? What are the consequences?
This time BJP did not get majority. The party has won only 240 constituencies. If we include the NDA with the alliance parties in total, 290 tickets have been obtained.
272 seats are required for majority. Only then will stable governance be guaranteed. BJP can implement all the plans it thinks of.
But this time, no party got absolute majority. So Modi is forming a coalition government with the help of coalition parties. Now, they cannot implement their policies as BJP schemes.
The plans cannot be executed without the help of Telugu Desam and United Janata Dal in the NDA alliance. This is seen as a major setback for the BJP regime.
After overcoming all these crises, there are reports that Modi is going to take office as the Prime Minister of India for the 3rd time on the 9th.
Before that, it was said that he is going to take office on the 8th. But the plan is said to have changed.
It is said that Chandrababu Nadu, who was to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has postponed his swearing-in ceremony.
Leaders of some other countries will attend Modi’s inauguration ceremony as special guests. It seems that the leaders of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal are going to participate. NDA alliance party leaders are also going to attend.
No matter how you look at it, it is said that this time Modi’s inauguration will not have too many events. The reason is that the party has lost influence in its stronghold states.
There is an opinion that all these are the drastic schemes brought by the BJP in the last 10 years.
In particular, the Agniveer scheme has hit the youth of northern states like Bihar very hard. That is why the Congress party had promised in the election manifesto that if the Congress comes to power, they will withdraw this.
As a result, reports are leaking that Nitish Kumar, who is part of the NDA alliance, has placed a condition on Modi, who is about to take office as the Prime Minister, to withdraw this Agniveer project.
In this way, there has been a situation where many schemes implemented by the BJP in the past have to be withdrawn. In particular, the farmers are protesting to fix the minimum source price for agricultural products.
The Modi government did not notice this protest. As a result BJP has lost more than 30 seats in some states like Haryana, Jharkhand, Punjab and UP.
Therefore, the BJP government may face a problem regarding that.
What are the ambitious projects brought in Modi government in the last 10 years? Here is the list for that:
Make in India project in 2014
Mutra Loan Scheme in 2015
Practice of payment through UPI in 2016
Devaluation in 2016
Introduction of GST in 2017
Introduction of Vande Bharat Express in 2019
Introduction of National Education Policy in 2020
Aatmanirbar project to develop Bharat through shipbuilding and defense manufacturing by 2020
370 repealed in Jammu & Kashmir in 2021
5th largest economy in the world by 2022
Introduction of Agniveer program in 2022
2023 Inauguration of Ram temple in Ayodhya
2023 G20 Summit
2023 Chandrayaan 3 lands on the moon
The country faced the biggest crisis due to demonetisation in this list. This scheme implemented to eradicate black money has not eradicated black money completely. Data shows that almost 98% of the recovered money has returned to the RBI. Hence, the implementation of this led to some setbacks from the BJP government.
Likewise the National Education Policy and the Agniveer scheme affected people and states’ rights.
