BJP state president Annamalai has demanded that the central government should provide 50 percent financial contribution to avoid delays in Chennai metro works.
In his letter to Prime Minister Modi in this regard, Annamalai said that even after 4 years of the Chennai Metro Rail Phase 2 project, only one-third of the work has been completed.
He said that the Tamil Nadu government has not been able to provide funds for the implementation of the metro rail project, and said that the second phase of the Chennai metro rail project can be implemented only with the participation of the central government.
Annamalai mentioned that Tamil Nadu has greatly benefited from the central government’s programs in the last 10 years and criticized the DMK for playing politics saying that the central government did not fund it.
Annamalai has demanded that the central government should provide 50 percent financial contribution to prevent delays in the Chennai Metro rail works.
