Chirac Paswan has been removed from the post of leader of the Lok Janshakti Party in a sudden twist in Bihar politics.
Lok Janashakthi, the party that fielded against Nitish Kumar’s JDU in last year’s Bihar assembly elections. Many criticized the BJP for fielding the RJD as the P team to prevent Nitish Kumar from winning more seats in the election.
In this situation, there is an internal party chaos in the Lok Janashakthi. The Lok Sabha has a total of six MPs, including Lok Janshakti’s Chirac Paswan. Apart from Chirac Paswan, five others have raised the banner against him.
In addition, party MPs submitted a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla seeking the removal of Chirac Baswan as parliamentary party leader and the appointment of Pashupati Kumar. The demand was accepted by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday.
Pasupathi Kumar is leading all the disgruntled MPs. He is none other than the brother of former Lok Janashakti leader Ram Vilas Baswan. I.e. Siraj Baswan’s Chittappa.
In this case, the biggest blow to Chirac Paswan was the removal of disgruntled MPs from the post of leader of the Lok Janshakti Party. It is reported that Chirac Paswan held three positions in the party and removed him from the post of party leader on the basis of one post per person.
It has also been announced that Suraj Banerjee will be the party’s current acting chairman and that elections for the post of party chairman will be held soon.
Within hours of the announcement, Chirac Paswan retaliated by expelling five MPs, including Pashupati Kumar Baras. The party is confused by such alternate announcements.
