With Modi heading the coalition government for the first time, election strategist Yogendra Yadav, who has accurately predicted the results of the Lok Sabha elections, has made some important comments in this regard.
Most of the exit polls showed that the BJP would win the Lok Sabha elections with a clear majority. That was the prediction of many poll experts.
But the election results were the exact opposite. BJP could not even get a single majority despite some even saying that BJP would get more than 300 seats.
Modi: BJP has won only 240 seats in Lok Sabha elections this time. This is 32 seats short of the number required for a majority. Following this, the BJP-led NDA coalition government with the support of Telugu Desam and JDU parties takes office. He will be sworn in as Chief Minister on Sunday evening.
However, this is the first time that PM Modi is leading the alliance. Even when Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, even during the last 10 years as the Prime Minister, the BJP had a majority. But, the situation is not like that now. He is heading a coalition government for the first time.
Yogendra Yadav who accurately predicted: Meanwhile, the election strategist Yogendra Yadav who predicted the election results very accurately has made some important comments. Modi can adapt to any situation, he said, adding that there are various ways to keep the alliance happy.
Attending an event, someone posed a question to him, “Can Prime Minister Modi handle a coalition government with Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu… because Modi is facing such a challenge for the first time now.”
What he said: Yogendra Yadav replied, “Yes..it will definitely be difficult for Modi. I am not saying that it will be difficult just because of the coalition government..Modi is fundamentally unaccustomed to democracy. He is not mentally suited to democracy, both inside and outside his party.
But I think we underestimate his political skills. He adapts to the environment. My understanding is that if Telugu Desam and United Janata Dal come to power, they will remain firm in their policies. My assumption may be wrong.
There are many ways: There are many ways to keep a union happy. Some of it I can’t really talk about. But, you know what it is. Narendra Modi can do it,” he said. Yogendra Yadav’s reply is going viral on the internet.
