Central Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in the Budget that 20 lakh youth will be given job training in five years under the Skill Development Programme.
Central Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Central Budget for the financial year 2024-25 in the Lok Sabha. Subsequently, the budget was approved in a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Modi at the Parliament complex.
Subsequently, the budget session began at 11 am with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla’s speech. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman began her speech by presenting the Budget for 2024-25 with the objective of ‘Building a developed India’.
While presenting the budget, Central Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that 500 companies will provide job training to one crore youth for 12 months each in five years. According to Nirmala Sitharaman, an incentive of 5,000 rupees per month and 6,000 rupees once will be given by the central government to the youth who will receive employment training. He also mentioned that the cost of training will be borne by the concerned institutions.
