Renovation work of the Veera Vasantharayar Hall damaged by the fire at the Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in Madurai is in full swing.
According to a press release issued by the Department of Hindu Religious Affairs, the Veera Vasantharayar Hall was damaged due to a fire on 02.02.2018 at the Arulmigu Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in Madurai. The renovation work was delayed for several years.
On 18.06.2021, the Minister of Hindu Religious Affairs, BK Sekharbabu inspected the expediting of these works. He advised the concerned treasury officials to complete the construction work as soon as possible.
In this connection, the quarrying work at the quarry in Pattinam village, Rasipuram circle, Namakkal district has been expedited.
In addition, the Commissioner of Hindu Religious Affairs, J. Kumaraguruparan, is overseeing the expediting of these works. Thus it is mentioned.
