Devotees eagerly look to see if they can get a mango hanging from the mango tree.
Kanchipuram Elawarkuzali Sametha Ekambaranatha Temple is the earthy place called Prithvi among the panchabhuta places of Lord Shiva namely water, fire, air, sky and earth. The palm tree where Goddess Parvati did penance is the main tree in this temple. This mango tree produced 4 types of mangoes representing Rig, Yajur, Sama, Atharvana and Vedas.
After this 3,500-year-old mango became extinct a few years ago, the genome of the oldest mango was extracted and safely bred to produce the same type of mango again.
This ancient and divine mango has now come to fruition with 4 flavors and mangoes in 4 forms.
A large number of devotees worship Ekambaranatha, Goddess Elavar Kujali, and the mango tree under the mango tree, which has started to blossom in bunches in a way that attracts the eye.
Devotees eagerly look to see if they can get the mango hanging from the mango tree which has divine qualities.
