UN urges Israel to hold Iran accountable for violating Iran’s sovereignty Bagheri Kani has asked the Security Council.
Hamas launched a brutal attack on Israel in October last year. In this, many Israeli citizens were massacred. Some were taken as hostages. In response, Israel has been attacking Gaza.
In this, more than 39 thousand Palestinians have been killed. In support of the Palestinians, the terrorist organization Hizbullah is also involved in the war. Israel is being attacked.
In this context, the leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, was killed. Haniyeh was assassinated while attending the inauguration of Iranian President Massoud Bejashkian in Tehran, Iran.
His bodyguard was also killed in the attack at the house. Following this, there was tension in the area.
Following this, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamini ordered his forces to launch a direct attack on Israel. Iran has vowed to retaliate accordingly.
In this context, a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s Ministerial Working Committee was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to discuss Haniyeh’s assassination and other issues. Iran’s Foreign Minister-in-Charge Ali Bagheri Ghani was present.
As he addressed the gathering, the assassination of the head of the Hamas organization was one of Israel’s terrorist crimes. It is a forceful attack against Iran’s sovereignty and integrity, without respect for the people and the law, he said.
UN The Security Council should hold Israel accountable for these violations. He also demanded that those responsible should be brought to justice and punished.
In this heinous crime, the United States, the main supporter of Israel, is also responsible. We cannot forget it.
This outrageous attack would not have been possible without the permission of the US and the support of their intelligence. UN Absent proper action by the Security Council, Iran has no choice but to legally use self-defense to counter Israeli aggression, he said.
