Houthi rebels target cargo ships in Red Sea
The Hamas armed group operating in the Gaza Strip entered Israel on October 7 last year and carried out a terrorist attack. 1,139 Israelis were killed in the attack. Also, Hamas kidnapped 251 people from Israel as hostages to Gaza.
Subsequently, Israel declared war on the Hamas armed group and rescued 105 hostages based on the agreement. Also, Israel has rescued some of the hostages through an active rescue operation. Also, bodies of hostages kidnapped and killed by Hamas armed forces have also been recovered.
However, Israel said that more than 100 people are still being held hostage by Hamas, some of whom may have died. Also, Israel is conducting an offensive in Gaza. In this war, more than 40 thousand people have died in Gaza, including the Hamas armed group. Similarly, more than 600 people have died in the conflict in the West Bank.
Meanwhile, in the war between Israel and Hamas, the Hamas armed group is being supported by the Houthi rebels operating in Yemen and the Hezbollah terrorists operating in Lebanon.
In support of Hamas, Houthi rebels have been targeting cargo ships in the Arabian Sea and Red Sea in the name of action against Israel.
In that way, on the 21st, Houthi rebels attacked an oil ship that was traveling in the Red Sea. Subsequently, the French Navy rescued 30 sailors on board. However, the ship, which was carrying 1 million barrels of oil, was abandoned.
In this case, the Houthi rebels launched a missile attack on the oil ship and another cargo ship that had already been abandoned in the Red Sea. There was no damage to the ship or the sailors in the attack on the cargo ship. But in an attack on an oil tanker, the ship caught fire. The burning ship is carrying 1 million barrels of oil, so if the fire spreads to the entire ship, there will be a huge impact on the sea surface. It has been reported that the naval forces of countries including England are trying to put out the fire on that ship.
