Even after Sheikh Hasina’s departure from Bangladesh, violence has continued in the capital, Dhaka, and in other parts of the country. More than 100 people have died in this. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned from her post in the last few weeks of violence in Bangladesh and arrived in India yesterday in a military plane. It is reported that he is going to London from there.
Meanwhile, the army has taken over the government in Bangladesh. Due to this, there is a constant tense situation in the nation of Bengal. In this situation, even after Haq Hasina left the country, violent incidents have been taking place in the capital Dhaka and some other areas. Hindu temples have been attacked. Hindu houses and shops were reportedly ransacked.
In Dhaka, protesters stormed into the Prime Minister’s House and ransacked. Companies owned by Hasina were also attacked and set on fire. Also the houses of the country’s ministers and MPs were also attacked. It has been reported in the media that 119 people have been killed in the violence that took place in various places in Bangladesh yesterday. Previously, 119 people were killed on Sunday alone, so far 440 people have been killed in the violence in Bangladesh.
It is also said that 37 bodies were brought to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital between 11 am and 8 pm yesterday. Last night, President Mohammad Sahabuddin asked all political parties to fix the law and order situation in the country. He also ordered the army to take strict measures to protect lives and properties of people and government assets.
In this situation, peace has returned in Bangladesh this morning, bus and vehicle transport services have started, some shops have opened and government vehicles are going to the office. And educational institutes in the national capital saw less attendance, the Dhaka Tribune newspaper reported.
