In Bangladesh, 24 people were killed when protesters set fire to a hotel owned by an Awami League MP. More than 50 people were injured.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned yesterday after a month of student protests in Bangladesh left more than 300 dead. He left the country. The army has taken over the government there. The protesters involved in the protest are looting the places belonging to the Awami League party leaders. Yesterday, people entered the Prime Minister’s residence and took away the belongings.
In this case, protesters set fire to a hotel in Jessore city. 24 of them died in the fire. More than 50 people are reported to have been injured. It has been revealed that the hotel is owned by Awami League MP Yana Shakin.
Temple robbery
The ISKCON temple in Dhaka was also reported to have been looted by the militants. Also, the rioters stormed the Indira Gandhi Cultural Center in Dhaka and ransacked it and took away the belongings.
