Actor Suriya has announced that the release date of the film ‘Kanguva’ has been postponed due to the release of ‘Vettaiyan’ on the same date. He expressed that the decision was made to give priority to Rajinikanth’s film.
Directed by Siva, ‘Kanguva’ stars Suriya along with Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Yogi Babu, and Redin Kingsley, among others. The film is produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. ‘Kanguva’ is a historical film made in 3D and will be released in 10 languages.
At a recent music launch event for the film ‘Meiyyazhagan’ held in Coimbatore, Suriya stated, “We are postponing the release of ‘Kanguva’ to make way for Rajinikanth’s ‘Vettaiyan’. He is a veteran, a legend of cinema, and has been acting for 50 years, so we will give way to his film.”
Originally, ‘Kanguva’ was scheduled to be released on October 10. However, Suriya added, “‘Kanguva’ is like a child, and we believe the audience will support it well. The new release date for ‘Kanguva’ will be announced soon.”
